Unique events: la Casa de los Bates

In today's blog we present a hotel-palacete located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, in the heart of the Costa Tropical of Granada, called Casa de los Bates.

This unique 19th century palace, listed as a Historic-Artistic Monument of the City of Motril, is anchored on a beautiful hill from which you can see incomparable views of the sea, Sierra Nevada, the Vega de Motril and Salobreña.

The house is composed of spacious rooms with fireplaces, ideal places for conversation and reading. In the terrace viewpoint, where they emphasize the beautiful views of the motrileña fertile plain and its autochthonous nature, it is the ideal scene to taste tasty breakfasts and to savor the tropical fruits of our orchard under the magical light of Andalusia.

This is undoubtedly an ideal place to enjoy. The botanical gardens surrounding the house are the icing on the cake. Precious labyrinths of cypress, palm and tropical flowers make a walk through them a unique experience.

The director of the hotel, Borja Rodríguez, assures us that the gardens are the greatest attraction for the celebration of events. Between communions and conventions what stands out most, without any doubt, are weddings. "For the bride and groom it is very important to find a unique enclave, precisely to make their wedding day even more special. Among the elements of the garden that stand out the most is the main staircase, which leads from the Palacete to the covered tent and the generalife's garden".

"One of the main advantages when holding an event with us is the fabulous subtropical climate of the coast of Granada," says Borja. "In Motril we have 11 months of sunshine a year, which is a great relief from the storms of the day of the event". This is very important for the wedding planners as it is a factor that could spoil the whole party.

Without a doubt, the summer season is the most popular time of the year to visit this charming hotel. However, more and more customers choose them in winter.

The good weather and its huge tent makes events possible at the time of year, and tourists who want to have a unique experience in southern Spain choose to stay

in this hotel because it allows them to be skiing in Sierra Nevada in the morning and enjoy a swim in the Mediterranean Sea in the afternoon.

Gastronomy is another plus. Tropical fruit crops such as mango, avocado, persimmon or Motril's banana stand out for their intense flavour, and the proximity to the sea makes fresh fish and seafood the protagonists. Who would say no to a soft drink accompanied by a tapa of fresh fish sitting under the warm tropical sun and in front of the sea?

The final plus is the proximity to Granada and, above all, to Malaga and its international airport, making it a perfect place for tourists from all over Europe.
